Little Happy Thoughts, Mental Health, Kindness and Care
I believe that the small things can make a difference, make someone smile and create little happy thoughts.
As someone that has battled mental illness I understand the importance of someone showing that they care.
Most of my childhood was spent making, creating and writing and these things filled me with happiness. I have carried this with me and my love for handmade has grown. Combine with that my passion for kindness and mental health awareness and Little Happy Thoughts was born to create items to make people smile.
All my items are made with love and thought, unlike mass made items each item is made by hand, especially for each individual customer.
I volunteer and campaign for mental health awareness where I can and received a Lord Mayor Of Birmingham award for my local mental health work and campaigns including Happy post, radio interviews raising awarensss of mental health and local visual displays including poster boards that were placed at Birmingham New Street Station.
I also was in the first voluteerr intake for SHOUT, the text crisis service which was wonderful and a great learning experience.
I also have a childrens book on Amazon called Felix The Fox and his Awesome Odd Socks which I wrote to promote positive mental health and diversity to little minds ♡
I have done various projects and spoken openly to the media about mental health and my own journey including the lloyds #GetTheInsideOut campaign, the victoria derbyshire show and radio.
I am also completed level 2 and 3 counselling studies and hope to complete level 4 in the future to become fully qualified ♡
I believe the little things matter the most and can make the biggest difference and that is the basis of all I do and create. I wanted to create something that allows people to reach out to others and make them smile ♡
Whether it be mental or physical health, someone having a tough time or someone that needs a reminder that they are not alone, I hope you find something that says what you need at Little Happy Thoughts ♡
